SPRING MUSICAL AUDITIONS COMING UP SOON!!!!Â AUDITIONS ARE OPEN TO THE ENTIRE SCHOOL!

Musical Auditions will be held Monday, November 22 and Tuesday, November 23. In order to prepare for your audition, you'll need to come to two workshops that will teach you all you need to know!!Â The Dance Audition Workshop (mandatory for all trying out) will be held Monday, November 15 in the Dance Studio from 2:30-3:30. The Music Audition Workshop will be held in the Chorus Room Tuesday, November 16 from 2:30-3:30. The performance dates of the musical will be March 3-5, 2011. Please see Mrs. Clayton in the Chorus Room 606 if you have any questions or want an audition information sheet!!!!

Summer Commencement Ceremony

Due to the larger number of Seniors in summer school this year, the Summer Commencement Ceremony will be held at ENLOE HS auditorium on Thursday, August 12th.Â Seniors should arrive at 5pm at Enloe HS on 8/12 for rehearsal.Â

Youth Violence Prevention Week

This is National Youth Violence Prevention Week.

Did you know when we talk about violence, we cannot ignore weapons. 9 out of 10 murders involve a weapon, 8 out of 10 a gun.Â Most robberies involve the use of a handgun.Â 1 in 7 teens has reported carrying a weapon - a bat, club, gun, or knife at some time to protect themselves.

BUT weapons make violence more deadly and less personal.Â A gun in the home increases the likelihood ofÂ Â homicide 3 times and suicide 5 times.

So STOP the violence by :

1)Â Use wordsÂ to settle arguments or solve problems without weapons.Â

2) Teach children what to do if they find a gun or something that might be a weapon. Go to an adult.

3) if you see a weapon, report it to your teachers and the principals at school.Â You couldÂ save a life.

4) Discourage name calling and teasing.Â It gets out of hand quick.Â

REMEMBER ... it takes more courage and guts to walk away from an argument than to walk into it!

Congratulations to the mens basketball team on winning the conference regular season championship. They begin tournament play tonight at home against somebody. The girls will also be playing away tonight against somebody else. Make sure to come out and support your garner Trojans. WOOO HOOO!
